October 15th Meeting Minutes

REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING

October 15th, 2020

LINWOOD VILLAGE

At 7:00 on Deb Johnson call the regular monthly meeting to order of the Linwood Board of Trustee’s. She also stated that the open meeting act is posted on the wall in the hall. Those answer the roll call were: Debra Johnson, Amber Phillips, Susie Matchett, and Josh Slonecker.   Mike Croghan was absent from the meeting. Amber Phillips made a motion to accept the minutes as read from the September 10th, 2020.  Susie Matchett seconded the motion all were in favor with none opposed. Susie Matchett made the motion to accept the treasure’s report dated October 15th, 2020. Josh Slonecker seconded the motion. All were in favor with none opposed. October 2020 Bills: Kathy Eaton, clerk fees $230.87; Will eaton, maintenance $360.16; Jim Overton, mowing $69.26; Bomgaars, flag $30.00; Lincoln Journal Star, legal publication $56.80;Waste Connections hall and park garbage 70.00;Kathy Eaton Road sign, dog tags, orange flags 182.04;Midwest service and sales signs, posts barricades and hardware $1,203.20; Pekny and assoc.  3rd quarter payroll preparations and budget $1350.00;  Johnson Trucking crushed white rock $966.88; USPS roll of first class stamps $55.00; BPPD, electricity $532.25; Schuyler Coop fuel $241.68. Amber Phillips  made the motion to pay the bills. Susie Matchett seconded the motion. All were in favor with none opposed. The clerk read aloud a letter the Village received from BPPD.  Also the Schuyler Coop had a form where the amount of bill would be directly taken out of checking account.  Josh Slonecker made a motion to fill out form and Susie Matchett seconded the motion all were in favor.  Someone went and pushed the burn pile all together including items that cannot be burned.  This is trespassing by the people who did this.  Only Village employee’s and trustees have the job of taking care of the burn pile.  No news on old dance hall.  Deb Johnson wanted the dogs in town to be licensed voting for was Deb Johnson and Amber Phillips.  Susie Matchett and Josh Slonecker voted against motion failed.  Josh Slonecker made a motion to have a rabies clinic.  Susie Matchett seconded all were in favor with none opposed.  Dustin Parolek was supposed to be at the meeting to ask the board for another culvert where the road was raised on Maple.  He did not attend.  The board then asked Will Eaton if he thought another culvert was needed, he did not think so.  Josh Slonecker made a motion to move Resolution 10-15-2020 to acceptance after the Village lawyer looked over the new lease with BPPD. Susie Matchett seconded the motion all were in favor with none opposed.       Josh Slonecker made a motion to acceptance Resolution 15-10-2020, FEMA mitigation plan.  Susie Matchett seconded the motion all were in favor with none opposed.  Dude Vosler asked about the old culverts that were taken out of Elm Street ditch.  It was decided to ask him how much he is willing to pay for each one.  After some discussion the board told Deb Johnson that the Village would not care if she put up private drive in the alley behind her house.   Next meeting date is set for November 19th, 2020 starting at 7 pm at Village Hall.  Amber Phillips made a motion to adjourn meeting at 8:03 pm.  Susie Matchett seconded the motion all were in favor with none opposed.
